disclaimer: words like candygram, sugar bottom, and sloppy, mushy kisses might make an appearance at some point during this post. cynics beware.

happy love month! if you were reading this blog last year, you'll know how i feel about february and valentine's day in general. if you weren't, let me give you my thoughts and feelings about it in a nutshell.

come on, people. a day devoted to eating chocolate bon bons and handing out paper hearts with crappy poems on them? i'm in.

  1. Love Dream a Little Dream! Husband and I have "Early Jazz" radio on Pandora almost non-stop in our home. Oldies are so incredibly romantic!

  3. I would be with Brittany above on the jazz (if I was into all that lovey dovey stuff). Check out the collaboration "John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman."

So great choice on Ella and Louis.

    As for: i'm kissing you : des'ree

Let me tell you a story. You Gotta Be by Des'ree was our school song at Vass-Lakeview when I was in 8th grade. No lie, the principal thought it was hip and played it over the loud speaker (in its entirety) after the morning announcements every...single...day. The 1st graders loved it, and us 8th graders were horrified and just wanted Boyz II Men or TLC. I mean, naturally.

You're welcome for that nugget. :)
