we get pretty excited about snow here in the south. giddy like screaming kids excited. we see a forecast stating a mere 20% chance of light flurries, and we make a beeline for the grocery store. bread and milk rations for dayyys. transplanted northerners living in the south, you may roll your eyes now.

yesterday was a snow day for me, and i was that giddy screaming kid. i didn't buy bread and milk, but i did make sure i had enough wine and coffee and dark chocolate peanut butter cups on hand.

  1. Hahahaha snow days. In Utah, we never get snow days. I've gone to school in something like 6 feet before. But this light snow is so beautiful. I'm glad you are enjoying it and not complaining about it like half of my southern facebook friends :)

    1. we are a crazy bunch here in the south. north carolina has especially bi-polar weather. two days before it snowed it was in the mid 50's and beeeeautiful. you never know what you're going to get! 6 feet?? holy crap. that sounds magical, but i'm sure it's not when you actually have to get out in it and drive to work/school. haha.

  2. You survived the snowpacolypse. I cannot imagine what would happen if in snowed here in Southern California. We would probably all just melt.

    1. i stayed nice and snug in my boots! i went out for a walk in it and froze my hands off, but my feet were definitely warm. and then i came back to my apartment and warmed my hands back up by opening up many chocolate candies.

  4. Right on. Snow gives me that kid-like feeling too, but up here in the north we've had enough to where I think I've had enough.

    Nice blog.

  5. I had a snow day on Wednesday too and it was amazing. We only get snow every few years, so we're allowed to freak out about it, right??

  9. I wish I had the same feelings about snow... at this point though, I've had enough. We have 8 inches on the ground and it's still falling. More to come Tuesday night as well....
